Did Someone Say "Podcast?"

There’s been so much going on here in the new studio! In between booking sessions, shooting, and editing photos there is also “everyday life” in the mix. Full time, I work as a graphic artist and work in video production and create educational training content. Currently, I am getting ready for a big video shoot this weekend. Luckily, I can multitask and improvise like no one's business and that is primarily due to being an active EMT for many years! There is nothing that I cannot juggle.

But, in addition to everything that’s going on, we decided to start a brand-new podcast that was created for media creators in our industry. We call it “BTS Raw Chats!” For those who are unfamiliar, BTS is short for Behind the Scenes. We felt there was a need to have an open discussion about everything associated with production, from photo and video to other forms of visual arts and multimedia-related topics.

There is a great upstairs space here in the studio that we dedicated just for podcasting! Last week we recorded the first 3 episodes, it was such a blast, we had so much fun and laughed so hard! The episodes will soon be released on multiple platforms. I think BTS Raw Chats is different from your average “explainer” or “do what I do” style of podcast, it is a public chat session for creatives to openly talk about their experiences while offering helpful tips and tricks to other aspiring artists.

Each week we have a new topic to chat about and this Friday night we’ll begin Episode 4 with a special guest star in the studio. I think it’s important to be able to laugh at yourself and with others while talking about common problems we come across, sometimes on a daily basis, and how to troubleshoot those issues without losing your mind. We also chat about the things in production that work and some of the things that clearly don’t!

Being able to share our experiences, bounce ideas, talk about technical issues, and generally collaborate about all things media-related is how we learn and grow and essentially become better at what we do, with the goal to inspire others.

Stay tuned...
